Bio

Genessa Escobar leads a Selena tribute rooted in her long admiration for Selena Quintanilla. The band’s visual performance matches its musical elements, expanding on Selena’s “Live” album with a focused concert show. Bassist and band leader Lenny Rocillo brought the musicians together, hand-picking each member. Genessa has toured nationally with the all-girl pop group 3rd Faze, appeared on American Idol and It’s Showtime at the Apollo, fronted New York cover bands, and provided background vocals for UK pop artist Cheryl Cole’s album “3 Words.”
